Quint Digital Media Limited informed the Bombay Stock Exchange on Wednesday that Raghav Bahl has resigned as the Managing Director of the Company w.e.f. closure of business hours of December 29, 2020.

“Further Mr. Raghav Bahl will continue to act as Non-Executive Promoter Director on the Board of the Company,” the company said in its filing.

Quint Digital Media Limited came into existence in 2019 after Bahl along with his wife Ritu Kapur acquired a controlling stake in a company called Gaurav Mercantiles and merged Quintillion Media’s digital news business with it. Both hold 66.4 per cent stake in the company.

Quint digital media owns thequint.com, hindi.thequint.com, and fit.thequint.com.

Bahl sold Network18, which he founded in early 1990s, to Reliance Industries in 2014. He founded Quintillion Media with his wife Ritu Kapur and entered into a JV with Bloomberg to launch a business news channel. He sacked 90 employees as BloomberQuint shut TV division in April 2020 after not being able to get a license for the channel.
