Former ASCI Secretary-General Shweta Purandare joins Diageo India as Corporate Brand and Communications Head

Shweta Purandare, former Secretary-General, ASCI, has joined Diageo India as Corporate Brand and Communications Head.

Industry sources told BestMediaInfo.com that she started working for the brand from September 2020. We reached out to Diageo India and Purandare but they chose not to comment. 

Purandare will report to Abanti Sankaranarayanan, Chief Strategy & Corporate Affairs Officer, Member - Executive Committee, Diageo India. In her new role, she will be responsible for the brand's internal and external communications.

She had an eight-year stint at ASCI, a self-regulatory organisation of the advertising industry in India committed to the cause of self-regulation in advertising and ensuring the protection of the interest of consumers.

Prior to ASCI, Purandare had stints with Loreal and Proctor & Gamble.
