Bikram Basu, who was Chief Operating Officer of Allied Blenders & Distillers for five-and-a-half years, has called it quits. The development has been confirmed by the sources.

Basu, who moved out at the end of June, had joined the company in March 2015. He will now pursue his entrepreneurial journey, details of which could not been confirmed by the time of filing of this report.
Before ABD, Basu was VP, Marketing, Pernod Ricard, for more than 13 years. An alumnus of XLRI, Jamshedpur, he had started his career with United Spirits Limited in 1994 as Area Sales Manager.

Anupam Bokey has been appointed as CMO of the company.
Bokey, who was Vice-President, Marketing (CMO) at Guiltfree Industries (Too Yumm!), the FMCG division of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, had moved on from the company in May this year.
Having been appointed as CMO of ABD, Bokey will be responsible for leading marketing strategy and brand growth.
Prior to joining ABD, Bokey worked for more than 17 years with Unilever, holding various marketing leadership roles in India, UK and Thailand. He worked on a plethora of brands such as Dove, Sunlight, Clinic Plus, Clear, Lifebuoy, Vaseline, Pepsodent, Huggies and Pureit. His last stint as CMO at RP-Sanjeev Goenka Group saw him launch Too Yumm! healthy snacks as well.
He is an alumnus of Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai.
