Amrit Thomas, CMO of Diageo Europe, has stepped down, ending his 13-year-long stint with the alcobev major.

With three decades of industry experience, Thomas has served many leadership roles at MNCs in India and abroad.

Thomas started his career in marketing from 1991. In 2002, he joined HUL as Business Head of e-tailing and left the company in 2007 as Category Head, Beverages. He served the global company for 16 years in India.

From 2007-18, he was CMO at Diageo India.

Announcing the move on LinkedIn, Thomas said, “After 30 years of working, that includes 13 eventful years at Diageo, 16 formative and foundational years at Unilever (HUL and Pond’s), I have decided to call time on this phase of my professional life.

“Unilever (HUL and Pond’s) and Diageo are purpose-driven organisations, with exceptional leaders and colleagues. I have been blessed to have been a part of these amazing organisations. I feel incredibly lucky to have worked for line managers and skip levels that were always willing to invest in my growth and development. I am also grateful for a particularly transformative experience at Pond’s under V Balaraman’s leadership.”
