Hindi news channel News Nation launched a brand new show ‘Desh ki Bahas’ on June 15 anchored by journalist Deepak Chaurasia. The one-and-half-hour show will air from Monday to Friday.

The USP of the show is “Ab Janta Bolegi”— the people of the country will decide what issues, questions, suggestions need to be discussed. It is a highly interactive show wherein phone lines, SMS, WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, web handles are open for the public to send their suggestions for discussion. The most weighed issue is set as the show’s agenda to be discussed with renowned politicians, social workers, former army chief, top cops and different experts of their field. The first episode focused on 'Mewat Hindu Conversion'.
The channel said the first day of the show trended on Top 6 India trends on Twitter and there was an increase of more than 500% in engagement on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, etc., apart from receiving a huge number of suggestions.
To ensure mass reach, the channel is doing a high-decibel marketing activity across genres such as Hindi movies, Hindi music, regional news particularly in the HSM belt focusing on Punjab, Haryana, UP-UK, MP-CG, Maharashtra, Bihar/Jharkhand and Rajasthan. The channel roped in DPOs like DEN, Fastway, Dish TV, Videocon D2H, UCN, Digiana for branding options as well as EPG, volume bar, etc.
