Talking about the return of the show, Aparna Bhosle, Business Head, Zee TV, said, “In times of uncertainty and stress that the world is currently going through, what audiences are truly looking forward to on television is an escape into happier times and familiar characters that they have all grown up loving over the years. For years now, we have been receiving umpteen requests to revive Hum Paanch or bring back a new season of this cult classic comedy.”

“Through a motley of truly adorable characters brought to life by some remarkably natural actors, the show is a heart-warming depiction of how much fun a typical Indian middle class family can be when they all just let their hair down. Hum Paanch evokes nostalgia among anyone who was in front of the television in the ’90s and 2000s. In fact, 2020 also marks 25 glorious years of Hum Paanch and we believe the best way to pay a tribute to such an iconic show is by letting the audience revisit the whole journey at a time when they need it the most.”

Hum Paanch is not the only show making a comeback on Zee TV. The channel has also geared up to bring back some of its famous reality TV shows for audiences. Season two of the famous reality show Dance India Dance has also hit the screens again. Audiences can watch the show on Sundays at 1 pm on Zee TV.

Another popular reality show ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs 2017 has also returned on the channel. Audiences can catch the episodes from Monday to Friday at 6:30 pm. The channel is also airing reruns of the popular fiction show Qubool Hai from Monday to Friday at 8 pm.

“For quite some time now, we have been receiving umpteen requests to bring back certain shows and seasons of our reality show that viewers had particularly enjoyed. Dance India Dance season 2 and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs 2017 featured strongly in people’s requests. So, to enhance the family TV viewing experience of our audiences while they spend more time indoors, we have brought back these immensely popular seasons," she said.

“We are also bringing back Qubool Hai, which people have loved for its intense drama and endearing characters that broke stereotypes prevalent in society. It remains our constant endeavour to provide the audience with a wide variety of content to choose from and enjoy during this extended family time together,” Bhosle added.
