Bhavana Mittal has joined RP-Sanjiv Goenka (RPSG) Group as Head of Media and Digital. Speaking to BestMediaInfo.com, Mittal said she assumed her new role on September 2 and will be based in Gurgaon.
Mittal had quit Reckitt Benckiser in May this year after the restructuring in the company.
In her new role, Mittal will look after media and digital for the entire group’s portfolio, which includes Too Yumm!, Saregama Carvaan, Spencer's Retail and Nature's Basket.
“RPSG Group is a very dynamic organisation. The company has been making a lot of acquisition; very recently it acquired grocery brand — Nature’s Basket. It’s a fast-growing enterprise that is moving into different verticals within FMCG segment as well. So, I feel it’s going to be quite challenging for me,” Mittal said.
In a career spanning over two decades, Mittal has experience in marketing management, media, marketing planning and brand management. She joined the industry as a Media Executive at Saatchi & Saatchi in 1998. She worked with a number of brands, including Universal McCann, Contract Advertising, GroupM and Maxus.
Between 2004 and 2007, Mittal worked as a Media Director at Cheil Communications. Then she moved to Accenture where she worked as a Manager for nearly three years. In 2010, Mittal joined GSK Consumer Healthcare India as General Manager, Commercial Procurement and Media, and promoted to Head of Media and CSR, Indian Sub-continent.
Most recently, Mittal was Regional Head, Media, Digital and Communication, South Asia at Reckitt Benckiser. She joined Reckitt Benckiser in May 2016.
