Indian agencies have secured eight shortlists in the Outdoor category with the Cannes Lions announcing the shortlists for the fourth category.
Wunderman Thompson India led the chart with four shortlists for its works Blink Off Poster 1, 2, 3, 4 done for Jimmy Nelson Foundation. The works from Wunderman Thompson were shortlisted in Not-for-profit/Charity/Government sub-category.
Dentsu Impact Gurgaon’s work titled ‘Complete’ and ‘Repaired’ done for Benson Polymer’s Polyfix Instant Glue were shortlisted in Other FMCG sub-category.
McCann India Mumbai won two shortlists for its work titled Cure 1 and Cure 2 done for Counseling for Depression in Healthcare sub-category.
There were 82 entries from India this year competing for Outdoor Lions.
The international festival of creativity had announced the shortlists for Glass, Innovation and Titanium categories last week where Ogilvy’s Hamam Waterproof Saree was the only shortlist from India for Glass Lions.
Last year, all four Indian shortlists in Outdoor category won awards. Creativeland Asia’s three pieces of work titled ‘Madhubani’, ‘Pattachitra’ and ‘Warli’ done for Mercedes Cars won a Bronze Lion as a campaign in automotive subcategory.
Among small scale special solutions under Outdoor category, the Health Purse (Sehat ka Batua) created by Grey India for Mahindra Rise won a Bronze Lion.
