Avinash Pandey, CEO, ABP News Network, said, “As we inch closer towards the General Elections, ABP News hosted an intriguing session of Shikhar Sammelan in the capital to gauge the sentiments of both the parties. Instilling ABP News Network’s philosophy of #DeshKoRakheyAagey, we aim to keep our viewers informed who will play a key role in deciding the future of the country in the upcoming elections.”

Shikhar Sammelan is a platform that deliberates on the fundamentally pertinent issues that are of significance to the common man. It provides an opportunity to both the government and the opposition to debate on the challenges and the way forward for the country.

Key highlights:

1) Shatrughan Sinha (Member of Parliament), “BJP questions Mahagathbandhan of Opposition parties but the party is itself running on alliance with as many as 40 parties across the country.”

2) Priyanka Chaturvedi, (National spokesperson, Congress), “In India, the ruling party is likely to make a slew of promises to woo different sections of the society, especially farmers, youth and women, besides the downtrodden.”

3) Shivraj Singh Chouhan, (Vice-President, BJP), “People of Madhya Pradesh (MP), Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan have now seen the true colours of Congress and will not vote for it again in Lok Sabha polls.”

4) Piyush Goyal (Minister of Railways and Coal), “It is unfortunate for the politics of the country to have thinking like Farooq Abdulah for demanding separate Prime Minister for Jammu and Kashmir. There is love for India among every Kashmiri and there is no need for a different law in the valley.”
