Durga Raghunath, CEO, Indian Express Digital Media Services, will join Zomato as Senior Vice-President, Growth, from December 21.
Raghunath will be responsible for managing new businesses like Zomato's upcoming food events vertical and SneakPeek — the food delivery platform’s recent foray in video content. She will also spearhead ad innovations for Zomato and further help monetisation of the food app.
Raghunath is currently serving as CEO, Indian Express Digital Media Services, was co-founder and CEO, Juggernaut Books, and CEO Network18 Digital.

Raghunath was the founder-CEO of Firstpost, the digital newsroom. She also served as the CEO of Network 18 digital where she oversaw Moneycontrol, IBNLive, News18, Firstpost, Burrp!, In.com and regional media products. She began her career in book publishing in India and with HarperCollins in New York. She was co-founder and CEO Juggernaut Books, a digital-first publishing start-up that focuses on creating new genres of e-books and a writing platform for the Indian public on their smartphones.
Prior to that, she was at Zomato, and played an active role in advising early-stage start-ups. She is also a Facebook #SheLeadsTech Mentor. Raghunath, 40, has an MBA from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad and a Publishing Degree from Columbia University in New York City. She studied Media at Sophia Polytechnic in Mumbai and majored in Chemistry at Stella Maris College, Chennai.
