Integrated marketing company Gozoop has acquired the Mumbai-based real-time marketing agency HAT Media. HAT Media and its founder Sunchika Pandey are well known in the industry for its management of the iconic Mumbai Police’s Twitter handle (@MumbaiPolice) along with other government initiatives and organisations.
With this business acquisition, HAT Media’s clients will be consolidated within Gozoop and its founder Sunchika Pandey will head the Citizen Initiatives and Government Organisation division of Gozoop as the Group Director.
This is Gozoop’s fourth acquisition after Red Digital – a social media agency (2013), iThink – a technology development enterprise (2014) and 56 Blue Lights – an event and activations agency (2016).
Ahmed Aftab Naqvi, CEO & Co-Founder, Gozoop, said, “A real-time mindset to leverage opportunities for brands by crafting outstanding content on the fly is an unfair advantage in today’s increasing cacophonous digital world. We are delighted to have partnered with HAT media to leverage these capabilities across our global clientele.”
Rohan Bhansali, Co-Founder of Gozoop, said, “Sunchika has been executing some seriously good work for government organisations through HAT Media. HAT is well known in the industry for its content capabilities. But what we loved most about Sunchika are her ethics and integrity with which she conducts herself and her business. We are richer in capabilities as well as values by having Sunchika as part of Gozoop’s leadership team.
Pandey said, “I have always been passionate about creating content that connects with people and betters humanity. Being a part of GOZOOP will help me facilitate my vision of using the digital space for achieving greater good and give momentum to my cause. I am excited to venture on this journey with Ahmed and Rohan.”
