GEC Watch: Zee Anmol reclaims No. 1 position in U+R in Week 42

Star Plus continued to rule the urban markets. Sony’s KBC exited from the top shows listing

Zee Anmol is back at No. 1 position in Week 42 (October 13- October 19) of BARC data in U+R market. Star Plus showed an increase in numbers of Impressions in the combined market.

The channels’ listing in Urban market remains largely untouched with Star Plus ruling the market. Sony’s KBC exited from the top shows listing. Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya entered into the chart at No. 5 position.

In Rural market, Big Magic witnessed a steep growth in the number of Impressions.

Colors’ Naagin 3 is still the most watched show in Urban and U+R markets.

Top channels in U+R markets

According to BARC data, India HSM (Urban+Rural): NCCS All: 2+ Individuals, for Week 42 of 2018, Zee Anmol returned to the top garnering 847.399 million Impressions (last week 804.142 million Impressions). Last week’s topper Star Utsav garnered 800.897 million Impressions (last week 868.404 million Impressions) at No. 2 position. With an increase in the number of Impressions Star Plus grabbed No. 3 position clocking 702.026 million Impressions (last week 705.121 million Impressions). Star Bharat dropped by one position and secured No. 4 garnering 692.457 million Impressions (last week 748.473 million Impressions).

Maintaining No. 5 position, Zee TV garnered 653.759 million Impressions (last week 681.698 million Impressions). Witnessing drop in Impressions, Sony Pal remained at No. 6 position with 579.069 million Impressions (last week 600.804 million Impressions). Sony Entertainment Television garnered 573.252 million Impressions (last week 595.453 million Impressions) at No. 7 position. At No. 8 Colors registered 545.284 million Impressions (last week 577.002 million Impressions). Dangal TV at position No. 9 logged 459.287 million Impressions (last week 451.825 million Impressions). No. 10 position was secured by Rishtey with 418.833 million Impressions (last week 414.987 million Impressions).

Colors’ Naagin 3 garnered 13.093 million Impressions (last week 13.406 million Impressions) maintaining the No. 1 position. Witnessing a growth in numbers Zee Anmol’s Kumkum Bhagya at No. 2 registered 12.914 million Impressions (last week 12.701 million Impressions). Zee Anmol’s Mehak from last week’s No. 4 position hopped on to No. 3 this week clocking 11.452 million Impressions (last week 10.943 million Impressions). Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya dropped to No. 4 position and recorded 11.195 million Impressions (last week 12.339 million Impressions). Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya entered the top chart securing No. 5 position clocking 9.158 million Impressions.
