Tata Sky has published a public notice that says Network18 and Viacom18 channels will not be available on the DTH platform after 15 days of the notice. Published in an English daily newspaper on September 9, 2018, the notice mentions the names of all the channels that are operated by the broadcast networks.

The reason to discontinue the broadcast of these channels is the non-agreement between the two parties to renew the annual deal for distribution. Tata Sky has a 24% market share in the active DTH subscribers’ base, which is expected to be 67.56 million, as per a TRAI report ending December 2017.
