In the Week 37 of 2018, Colors and Star Plus have both grown significantly to jump two spots up in the U+R markets

GEC Watch: Sony continues to lead urban, Zee Anmol rules U+R and rural markets

Sony Entertainment Television has continued to lead the urban markets, while Zee Anmol maintained its top spot in the U+R and rural markets in Week 37 of 2018 (September 8-14). Colors and Star Plus have both gained numbers significantly to climb two spots each in the U+R markets. Dangal too grew by one spot in the rural market. As per BARC India data, none of Sony’s shows have been listed in the top five lists across the three markets.

Amongst the most watched shows list, Colors’ Dance Deewane re-entered the urban top shows’ list. The rest of the top performers remained the same.

Top channels in U+R markets

As per select BARC India data for Week 37 of 2018 (September 8-14) for HSM (U+R): NCCS All: 2+ Individuals, Zee Anmol remained at the leadership position in the U+R markets with 814.441  million (last week 838.334 million) Impressions. Zee TV remained at No. 2 clocking 689.824 million (last week 689.309 million). At No. 3, Star Utsav garnered 684.456   million
(last week 658.543 million). Star Plus jumped two spots to be No.4 with 645.590 million (last week 614.665 million) Impressions. Star Bharat dropped to No.5 spot clocking 645.481 million (last week 645.596 million) Impressions. Colors, jumped to No 6.spot from at No. 8, garnering 627.968 million (last week 584.060 million).Sony Pal stood at No. 7 spot clocking 612.125 million (last week 622.584 million) Impressions. Sony Entertainment Television dropped by on spot to to No. 8 by clocking 602.756 million (last week 599.495 million).Rishtey remained at No. 9 position with 488.785 million (last week 532.809 million) Impressions. At No. 10 is Sony SAB with 425.972 million impressions.

Colors’ Naagin-3 clocked 14.422 million (last week 14.294   million) Impressions, leading the most-watched programmes’ list in the U+R segment. Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya jumped to
