The Board of Directors of IndusInd Media & Communications Limited (IMCL) have effected a few changes in its senior management.
Vynsley Fernandes has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of IMCL; Amar Chintopanth, Chief Financial Officer of IMCL, is Executive Director on the Board of Directors of IMCL; the resignation of Ashok Mansukhani has been accepted as Managing Director of IMCL and he has been elevated as Non-Executive Vice-Chairman of IMCL. All these decisions are in effect from August 1.
IndusInd Media & Communications Limited (IMCL) is a subsidiary of HVL which operates across three segments – media and communication, real estate, and treasury and investments.
Fernandes is a veteran media executive with over 25 years of experience in delivering and managing assignments globally including DTH and HITS platforms, digital cable networks and news and entertainment channels.
Fernandes was the Executive Director at Castle Media Private Limited, a technology, media and entertainment consulting-to-delivery firm which he co-founded in 2010. At Castle Media, Fernandes led the consulting practice, focusing on pay television platforms across the SAARC, the Middle East and Africa. Prior to Castle Media, Fernandes had managed high-profile assignments globally – for leading blue-chip media organisations including 21st Century Fox (then News Corporation) and Tata Sky. As Principal Consultant at Tata Sky, Fernandes was part of the core team responsible for rolling out the premier DTH service across India while at Star News (now ABP News Network) – he was one of the persons responsible for setting up and managing the operations of the network. He also spent a decade at Star India managing key technology and operations portfolios. Prior to Star, Fernandes worked in various content and production roles at leading television stations and production houses.
With an academic background in Mass Communications and Media, Fernandes is considered a thought leader in the media andentertainment space and represents the industry at various forums globally.
