Club FM bags only Gold for India at New York Festivals Radio Awards 2018

India bagged 10 metals at the New York Festivals International Radio Programs Awards 2018 while 35 other programmes received Finalist certificates. Club FM won the only Gold at the awards for the campaign Kuzhi Map (Pot holes Map) entered under the category Public Service Announcement Promotion.

Radio Mirchi’s RJ Naved grabbed a Silver metal in the category Best Comedy/Humour Personality: Local Market while Red FM won another Silver metal for its Holi campaign, Bura Maano Holi Hai, under the category Public Service Announcement Promotion.

Radio City bagged four Bronze metals for the campaigns Celebrating Emotions of The Nation (Best Original Music), Dilli Vs Crime (Community Service), Resilience After Self Immolation to Change the World (News Report and Feature - Heroes) and Nikita Ki Kahani (Information and Documentary - Heroes).

Three other Bronze metals were won by Mirchi Kolkata for Eksringa Abhiyan: Adventure of the One-Horned Peak (Best Audio Book - Fiction), My FM for Maango Haq Se (Health/Medical) and Fever FM for Jai Bajrangi (Religious Programs).

Commenting on the Mango Haq Se initiative, Rahul Namjoshi, Business Head, My FM, said, “This is the third year in a row that our initiatives have been appreciated at the New York Festival. At My FM, our endeavour has been to create activities for listeners that create a social impact and benefit the entire community.”

NYF’s Grand Jury awarded global networks and content creators from 31 countries. Trophy-winning digital content, podcasts and audiobooks, live events, dramas and documentaries, breaking news coverage, multi-genre music specials, sound art and promos from around the globe were celebrated.

The 2018 Grand Jury honoured RTÉ Ireland with the prestigious title of Broadcaster of Year and TBI Media UK with Production Company of the Year. The BBC, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Guardian Australia and TBI Media each earned the distinguished New York Festivals Grand Award.
