In the Week 18 of 2018 (April 28-May 4), Zee TV retained its lead position, despite losing close to 30 million Impressions in the urban markets. Zee Anmol continued to lead in the U+R and rural segments.
The rankings on all the channels in the various markets, largely remained the same. The top shows’ lists too, did not see much change. But the overall viewership numbers have gone down further, possibly because of the ongoing IPL season 11.
Top channels in U+R markets
As per select BARC India data for Week 18 of 2018 (April 28-May 4) for HSM (U+R): NCCS All: 2+ Individuals, Zee Anmol stayed at the top spot in the U+R markets with 769.222 million (last week 771.888 million) Impressions, as Rishtey continued to gain viewership and maintain its No. 2 position, with a gross viewership of 642.114 million (last week 672.774 million) Impressions. Star Bharat, too held on to No. 3 with 603.720 million (last week 638.431 million) Impressions. Sony Pal stayed at No. 4, clocking 594.997 million (last week 605.469 million) Impressions. Zee TV, too stayed at No. 5 and got 548.150 million (last week 579.082 million) Impressions. Star Utsav remained at the No. 6 position garnering 460.921 million (last week 513.800 million) Impressions. Star Plus also stuck to its No. 7 position with 422.988 million (last week 456.054 million) Impressions, was followed by Colors with 395.016 million (last week 430.238 million) Impressions. Sony SAB climbed to No. 9 with 356.192 million (last week 348.831 million) Impressions. Sony Entertainment Television slipped to No. 10 by clocking 330.934 million (last week 340.856 million) Impressions.
Top shows in U+R markets
As per select data {HSM (U+R): NCCS All: Prime Time (1800 - 2330 hours): 2+ Individuals}, Zee Anmol’s Kumkum Bhagya became the most watched show by clocking 10.859 million (last week 11.218 million) Impressions, followed by Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya that garnered 10.500 million (last week 11.517 million) Impressions. Two other shows of Zee TV stood next – Kumkum Bhagya and Ishq Subhan Allah with 9.284 million (last week 9.315 million) Impressions and 8.619 million (last week 10.522 million) Impressions and, respectively. Sony Pal’s CID grabbed the fifth spot, gathering 7.132 million (last week 8.121 million) Impressions.
Top channels in urban markets
After a long time, Zee TV was listed at the top spot in the urban markets, in the Hindi general entertainment channels (GECs) ranking in the urban markets. The channel garnered 324.219 million (last week 356.243 million) Impressions. Star Plus maintained its position at the second spot in the urban markets with 301.911 million (last week 322.890 million) Impressions. Star Bharat garnered 299.344 million (last week 313.377 million) Impressions, staying put at No. 3. Maintaining its No. 4 spot from last week, Colors lost significant viewership numbers to garner 274.688 million (last week 305.628 million) Impressions. Sony SAB that garnered 255.501 million (last week 269.382 million) Impressions, stood at No. 5, while Sony Entertainment Television, stayed at No. 6 spot with 246.399 million (last week 253.465 million) Impressions. Sony Pal was at No. 7 with 193.786 million (last week 198.824 million) Impressions. Rishtey was at No. 8 clocking 183.174 million (last week 185.097 million) Impressions.
