GEC Watch: Zee Anmol tops U+R and rural; Zee TV leads urban markets

In the Week 19 of 2018 (May 5-11), Zee Anmol, Colors and Sony Pal witnessed significant gain in viewership, while Star Bharat and Zee TV lost large number of eyeballs. Zee Anmol stayed on top in U+R and rural markets, Zee TV maintained its leadership in urban markets, despite a lot of viewership.

Amongst the top shows in the three markets, the titles remained the same including Kumkum Bhagya, Kundali Bhagya and Ishq Subhan Allah on Zee TV, Kumkum Bhagya, Ganga and Mahek on Zee Anmol, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai from Star Plus, Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki on Colors and CID and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltaah Chashmaah on Sony Pal.

Top channels in U+R markets

As per select BARC India data for Week 19 of 2018 (May 5-11) for HSM (U+R): NCCS All: 2+ Individuals, Zee Anmol stayed at the top spot in the U+R markets with 857.264 million (last week 769.222 million) Impressions. Rishtey continued to gain viewership and maintain its No. 2 position, with a gross viewership of 652.382 million (last week 642.114 million) Impressions. Sony Pal climbed to No. 3, clocking 654.053 million (last week 594.997 million) Impressions. Star Bharat, meanwhile, slipped to No. 4 with 577.588 million (last week 603.720 million) Impressions. Zee TV, stayed at No. 5 and got 519.606 million (last week 548.150 million) Impressions. Star Utsav remained at the No. 6 position garnering 473.228 million (last week 460.921 million) Impressions. Star Plus also stuck to its No. 7 position with 429.027 million (last week 422.988 million) Impressions, was followed by Colors with 421.333 million (last week 395.016 million) Impressions. As per select data {HSM (U+R): NCCS All: Prime Time (1800 - 2330 hours): 2+ Individuals}, Zee Anmol’s Kumkum Bhagya became the most watched show by clocking 12.333 million (last week 10.859 million) Impressions, followed by Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya that garnered 10.840 million (last week 10.500 million) Impressions, followed by Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya that clocked 9.222 million (last week 9.284 million) Impressions. Zee Anmol’s Mahek was at No. 4, with 7.910 million Impressions. At No. 5, Zee TV’s Ishq Subhan Allah stood with 7.909 million (last week 8.619 million) Impressions.
