Four metals for India at Festival of Media Global Awards 2018

Three Indian agencies have won four gold metals at the Festival of Media Global Awards 2018 in four different categories.

Red Fuse Communications bagged two gold for Colgate’s Pocket Dentist Campaign in the Best Use of Mobile (Insights and Technology) and Impact Awards (Media) categories. Mindshare won a gold for Star Plus’ Nayi Soch campaign in the Best Event, Experiential or Sponsorship Campaign (Media) category, while Initiative won a gold for Harpic’s No Toilet No Wedding campaign in the Best Use of Traditional or Ambient Media (Media) category. India did not get any metal in the Content division of the awards.

MediaCom has been named Agency Network of the Year at the Festival of Media Global Awards 2018. The agency took the crown after winning 19 awards on the night.

A total of 80 awards were given away at the 2018 edition of the festival. The UK won the maximum number of metals with 19 and Canada stood second with 10 metals, while the US bagged seven metals. For the first time, the awards had three separate juries for Media, Insights and Technology and Content.

At the ceremony, MediaCom won 8 gold, 8 silver and 3 bronze trophies, and the coveted Agency Network of the Year. MediaCom’s successes come after the agency topped the competition shortlist, picking up 58 nominations from 31 brands across 16 markets.

About the No Toilet, No Wedding Campign, Arun Sharma, Managing Partner, IPG Mediabrands, said, “It’s a great honour and needless to say we are delighted.
