BC Web Wise bags Visit Sweden business to reach out to Indian tourists

BC Web Wise has acquired the new business of ‘Visit Sweden’ and the 'Local on Arrival' campaign that is being carried out for the brand to attract Indian tourists to Skåne.

BC Web Wise is running the ‘Local on Arrival’ campaign for Visit Sweden, Sweden’s official tourism and travel website, with focus on Skåne. The Mumbai-based digital marketing agency has been empowering brands with end-to-end digital solutions and services since 2000.

Sweden is an emerging destination for the Indian traveller. The tourism focus, so far, has been on Sweden, emphasising the capital of Stockholm and the natural beauty and adventures of Swedish Lapland. Visit Sweden wanted to add another destination to keep building Sweden as an destination for the Indian traveller: Skåne, nested in the southern region of the country.

Visit Sweden is an international organisation with communication specialists in place from New York to Beijing. Visit Sweden's head office is located in Stockholm. The Indian market is being processed from Stockholm and via the Scandinavian Tourist Board in New Delhi.

Local on Arrival

During tours, travellers usually get busy looking at famous monuments and overhyped tourist spots, missing out on experiencing the cultural cornucopia that a city like Skåne has to offer. Visit Sweden’s campaign focuses on showcasing the usual traveller, the unusual – the local.

Visitors are invited to participate and discover a place where they can breathe in, feel, live, become a part of it, not by being a mere passer-by to things but also by making them one with the city and its people – making them a 'Local on Arrival'.
