IndiaCast to be sole distributor of Turner channels

Turner International India (Turner) has appointed IndiaCast Media Distribution as its exclusive distribution agent starting April 1. IndiaCast will be responsible for the distribution of Turner channels, including CNN International, Pogo, Cartoon Network, WB, HBO and HBO HD to consumers in India, Nepal and Bhutan.

A TV 18 and Viacom18 venture, IndiaCast already handles distribution for channels across various genres, including general entertainment, kids, news, music, infotainment and movies among others. It claims to be distributing 51 channels across nearly 100 countries. The network is said to be reaching 170 million Indian households.

Siddharth Jain, Managing Director, Turner South Asia, said, “I am delighted to announce the appointment of IndiaCast as our exclusive distribution agent for India, Nepal and Bhutan.
