Zee Anmol continued to stand at the top of the combined U+R and rural markets, as per the data released by BARC India for the week 5 of 2018 (January 27- February 2). Colors too remained the leader in the urban markets, while Zee Anmol was on top in the rural markets’ list too.
Star Plus retained its No. 4 position in the urban market but slipped to No. 8 in combined markets. In the urban market, Sony SAB grew its numbers significantly and came too close to Star Plus which was at No. 4. The two channels were separated by a gap of two million.
Amongst the top shows, Colors’ Ishq Mein Marjawa was a new entry in the urban markets, while Sony Pal’s CID was a new one in the rural list.
Top channels in U+R markets
As per select BARC India data for Week 5 of 2018 (January 27- February 2) for HSM (U+R): NCCS All: 2+ Individuals, Zee Anmol remained at the top spot with 761.293 million (last week 720.614 million) Impressions. Star Bharat stuck to No. 2 in the combined U+R markets with 675.896 million (last week 690.782 million) Impressions. In turn, Sony Pal remained at the third spot with 614.401 million (last week 596.799 million) Impressions. Colors climbed a spot to reach at No. 4 position with 590.900 million (last week 560.540 million) Impressions. Star Utsav slipped to No. 5 garnering 569.949 million (last week 563.861 million) Impressions. Zee TV, remained at No. 6 by clocking 563.925 million (last week 557.950 million) Impressions. Rishtey climbed to No. 7 with a gross viewership of 450.424 million (last week 443.551 million) Impressions. Star Plus slipped to No. 8 with 442.345 million (last week 444.095 million) Impressions. Sony Entertainment Television remained at the ninth spot by clocking 427.665 million (last week 434.762 million) Impressions. Sony SAB too remained at No. 10 with 413.632 million (last week 380.515 million) Impressions.
Top shows in U+R markets
As per select data {HSM (U+R): NCCS All: Prime Time (1800 - 2330 hours): 2+ Individuals}, Zee TV’s spin-off show Kundali Bhagya and its original fiction Kumkum Bhagya grabbed the top two spots with 12.970 million (last week 12.053 million) and 11.727 million (last week 11.021 million) Impressions, respectively. Zee Anmol’s Kumkum Bhagya stood at No. 3 by clocking 10.235 million (last week 10.545 million) Impressions. Star Bharat’s Nimki Mukhiya that stood at No. 4 clocked 9.886 million (last week 9.894 million) Impressions in Week 5, followed by the channel’s another popular show Kya Haal Mr Panchaal with 9.246 million Impressions.
Top channels in urban markets
Colors continued to lead the flock of Hindi general entertainment channels (GECs) in the urban markets, garnering 432.523 million (last week 407.749 million) Impressions. Star Bharat stood at the second spot and has clocked 334.877 million (last week 337.123 million) Impressions. Zee TV continued at No.3 in the list of most-watched shows on Hindi GEC in urban markets, clocking 334.775 million (last week 328.662 million) Impressions. Star Plus stayed at No. 4 in the urban markets with 314.612 million (last week 310.185 million) Impressions. At No. 5, Sony SAB garnered 312.064 million (last week 287.043 million) Impressions, followed by Sony Entertainment Television with 309.645 million (last week 306.897 million) Impressions. Sony Pal was at No. 7 with 208.491 million (last week 189.592 million) Impressions. Zee Anmol came in next at No. 8 with 178.595 million (last week 165.100 million) Impressions. Sony Sab’s flagship show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma was third in the list clocking 6.689 million (last week 6.574 million) Impressions, followed by Colors’ Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki thatgarnered 6.531 million (last week 5.630 million) Impressions, at No. 4.
