The Diwali week witnessed significant changes in pecking order of Hindi general entertainment channels in Urban markets. In Week 42 of 2017 (October 14-20), Zee TV topped the Urban chart riding on Zee Rishtey Awards and its top running shows Kundali Bhagya, Kumkum Bhagya and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs. With KBC on top of the chart in Urban markets, Sony Entertainment Television held its No. 2 positions while Colors slipped to No. 3 position. Star Plus continued to be at No. 4 position in Urban and No. 7 position in U+R markets.
Zee Anmol continued to rule the combined and Rural markets. There were no big changes in pecking order in both the markets.

Zee TV is at No. 2 position with 704.641 million (last week 656.892 million) Impressions. Star Bharat remained at No. 3 with 598.433 million (last week 634.922 million) Impressions. Sony Pal climbed at No. 4 with 579.884 million (last week 526.821 million) Impressions. Colors slipped at No. 5 with 544.445 million (last week 609.841 million) Impressions. Sony Entertainment Television is at No. 6 with 538.416 million (last week 565.636 million) Impressions. Star Plus remained at No. 7 with 463.334 million (last week 485.656 million) Impressions. Kaala Teeka on Zee Anmol climbed at No. 3 in the Hindi Speaking Markets by garnering 9.200 million (last week 11.533 million) Impressions. Amul Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs on Zee TV scored 8.738 million Impressions to stand at No. 4.
