In Week 40 of 2017 (September 30-October 6), Sony Entertainment Television claimed the No. 1 position in the urban markets, while the rural and U+R markets had Zee Anmol as the leader. Sony Entertainment Television grew stronger on the back of its reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati which became the most watched show in urban and U+R.
While Colors climbed to No. 2 position in both U+R and Urban markets, Star Plus slipped to No. 7 in U+R and No. 4 in Urban markets.
According to the latest data released by BARC India, Star Bharat has also gained good numbers and was at No. 3 in both U+R and Rural markets.
