GroupM South Asia CEO CVL Srinivas has been given additional responsibility to lead WPP businesses in India as Country Manager. Srini, as popularly known in the media and advertising fraternity, is taking over from Ranjan Kapur.
Kapur will continue as Chairman of WPP India, helping Srini and focusing on his schools and foundation initiatives.

Srini has been managing GroupM businesses in India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh since early 2013. Under his leadership, GroupM is the leading media investment conglomerate in the region. Specifically in India, GroupM agencies Mindshare, Maxus, MEC, Mediacom and Motivator dominate the media agency industry.
Srini was part of the start up team at HTA between 1994-98 that came together to form Fulcrum- the dedicated media planning and buying team for Hindustan Unilever. Over five years, he worked closely with the Unilever team, on the Foods and Personal Care portfolio.
After the formation of GroupM in India, Srini helped set up Team Maxus as its first Managing Director, and later took the agency brand to Asia-Pacific as its first regional CEO.
During his career spanning over 23 years, Srini has also worked with Madison and Starcom in India, managing clients such as Coca Cola, Cadbury’s, Vodafone, Samsung, Nokia, Perfetti to name a few.
