Kedar Teny, former director, marketing and digital, at McDonald’s India (West & South), has now joined Sony Pictures Networks as the Senior Vice-President, Marketing and OAP Sports Cluster. Teny will be handling the marketing and on air promotions for all the nine sports channels under the SPN banner.
He will report to Rajesh Kaul, President, Distribution and Sports. Teny is the first marketing head in the group for sports cluster, now that the network has nine channels after acquiring Ten Sports Network and ESPN tie-up.
Teny has over two decades of experience in marketing and digital domains. He started off as a Management Trainee at iB&W Communications and went on to work as Category Head, Deodorants, Hindustan Unilever Ltd; General Manager, Brand, Bharti Airtel Limited; Senior Brand Planning Director South East Asia, Thailand (Bangkok), Lowe and Partners Worldwide and has worked with Lowe and Partners Worldwide in various capacities.
