High Court dismisses TV Today Network's plea against Republic TV's 'multiple frequencies'

The Delhi High Court has dismissed a plea filed by TV Today Network Ltd in a matter related to multiple logical channel numbers (LCNs) allegedly used by Arnab Goswami’s recently launched Republic TV.

Sources present in the court informed BestMediaInfo.com that TVTN decided to withdraw its petition after which the court dismissed the case.

Denying any intervention, the court said that the matter is related to TRAI, broadcasters and distribution companies and should be resolved among them. TVTN had also made BARC a party in the case, questioning its stand to publish Republic TV’s data.

A detailed order of the court is under process and will be available soon.
