Music lovers can rejoice. Vh1 is all set to bring the much- awaited Europe Music Awards to Indian television. It will be double bonanza this year with Bollywood's current sweetheart, Deepika Padukone, presenting one of the awards at the EMAs.

This year, Vh1 is bringing the EMA fever to India with an extensive marketing campaign. To kick off, a special digital contest is being done, encouraging India to cheer for Deepika Padukone as she presents one of the awards at the EMAs. Winners of the digital contest will get personally autographed, limited edition EMA memorabilia from Deepika Padukone. In addition, a high-frequency radio campaign is being planned in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Chennai with integrations throughout the day. A college activation is being carried out with contests and promotions, reaching out to young student fans in over 200 colleges campuses and a number of college festivals spanning 15 cities. The campaign is being amplified in over 120 popular youth hangouts across 10 cities. Outlets like Gold's Gyms, Harry's, Zu Tisch, The Little Door will have fun and interactive EMA games planned to engage and enthral fans. The EMA euphoria will reach a crescendo with the prime time screenings in more than 30 outlets across 10 cities in India.

“Vh1 is India's preferred destination for international music and lifestyle entertainment. We're home to the biggest international awards and the Europe Music Awards are no different. This year, the EMAs promise to be even bigger and as Indians we're particularly excited about our very own Deepika Padukone as one of the presenters. We as viewers will absolutely love the show this year,” said Sabrina D'souza, Marketing Head, English Entertainment, Viacom18.

This year's EMAs promise to give a night filled with entertainment. An epic clash of the young and bold with Justin Bieber squaring off with Beyoncé as the two artists who have bagged maximum nominations, followed by renowned artists such as Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, and Shawn Mendes who are not far behind and performances by world famous musicians like Martin Garrix, Bruno Mars, Shawn Mendes, DNCE and many more, is expected to make the awards a memorable one.

The Europe Music Awards 2016 is scheduled to air straight from Netherlands, on Vh1, Monday, November 7, 6 am onwards, along with a prime time repeat 9 pm onwards. Viewers can catch the Red Carpet event 5 am onwards, with a prime time repeat at 8 pm.
