Star World Premiere HD is back with yet another television blockbuster 'Chance'. Starring Hugh Laurie, Chance will make its way to Indian television on Star World Premiere HD on October 21. After his growing popularity on 'House MD' and his Emmy award winning miniseries 'The Night Manager', Laurie is all set to make his comeback to primetime television with yet another story about a doctor, but this time it's with a twist. As the show's titular character, Laurie dons the role of Dr Eldon Chance, a forensic neuro-psychiatrist who takes up the dangerous job of trying to protect a patient with multiple personality disorder.

Speaking about the show and how this doctor is far more different than that on House, Hugh said, “I honestly don't see any similarities, maybe because I've artificially erected a wall between the two things (in my mind). Maybe I'm incorrect and it will be a distraction for the audience, but I hope not, because the characters are massively different. Their attitude to life is different; the story that unfolds is infinitely removed from (the world of House).”

Slated with entropy and darkness, the psychological thriller 'Chance' follows the story of Dr Eldon Chance, a San Francisco-based forensic neuro-psychiatrist who reluctantly gets sucked into a violent and dangerous world of mistaken identity, police corruption and mental illness. Laurie said, “Underneath there's a story of passion, love, violence, fear joy, and the profound exploration of what it is to be human.” Then he quipped, “That's in the first 90 seconds.” He added, “Generally speaking, the older form of television was about the central characters remaining the same while the surrounding characters changed. We're doing something rather different here, we're seeing a genuine transformation where characters are unrecognisable from where they started.”

Adapted from Kem Nunn's noirish psychological thriller novel of the same name, Chance is also produced by Hugh Laurie who stars along with Diane Farr, who has made guest appearances in popular shows -- Desperate Housewives, Californication, Grey's Anatomy, The Mentalist, Modern Family, Two and a Half Men and more and is famous for her role in the hit TV series Numb3rs. The show comprises some more celebrated names -- Gretchen Mol of Boardwalk Empire and Johnny Depp-Al Pacino starrer Donnie Brasco fame, Paul Adelstein of Prison break, Private Practice and Scandal fame among others.

Lauding Hugh Laurie's performance on the show as the next 'Hitchcock', Chance is certain to take viewers on a journey through a world that's both, alluring and dangerously disorienting.
