Vh1 presents Video Music Awards on August 29
To keep the viewers updated about the nominees, the channel will air a show, 'Video Music Awards Nominees Special', every Monday to Friday at 7 pm

Vh1 is all set to bring the star-studded madness from the Video Music Awards 2016 this August. With the likes of Beyoncé and Justin Bieber running neck and neck, this year the awards are set to create major on-stage drama.
The awards will be hosted at Madison Square Garden in New York and is scheduled to go air in India at 9 am on August 29, with a primetime repeat at 9 pm. Its red carpet special will air in India at 8 am, with a primetime repeat at 8 pm.
As a build-up towards the awards, Vh1 will air 'Video Music Awards Nominees Special', apprising the audience with everything they need to know about the nominees. The show will air every Monday to Friday, at 7 pm.
Thrilled about airing one of the most sought-after award shows, Sabrina D'souza, Marketing Head, English Entertainment, Viacom18, said, “The VMAs are among the world's most talked-about award shows that we are broadcasting on the channel. It is this kind of edgy content that defines the clutter-breaking capacity of Vh1.”
This year, the going gets tougher for those competing for the coveted 'Moonman' trophy. Beyoncé has bagged the maximum nominations, her career-best of 11; followed by Adele running close behind with eight nominations. Among the new artists, the heat builds up with DNCE, Bryson Tiller and Desiigner competing against each other. Justin Bieber, Drake and Kanye West are on the list of nominees for the 'Best Male Video' award.
The Video Music Awards are a part of an extravagant award show line-up aired on Vh1, which includes the Golden Globe Awards, The American Music Awards, The Annual Grammy Awards, Annual Billboard Music Awards and Europe Music Awards.
