Goafest 2016: JWT, Taproot Densu lead final metals tally
JWT tops the chart with 47 creative abby's including five Gold, closely followed by Taproot Dentsu with 40 awards including two Gold

The final day of the Creative Abby saw JWT steal the night with as many as 47 metals, five of which are Gold, while 21 metals were Silver and Bronze each. Taproot Dentsu was the second shining star with 40 metals in two days, comprising two Gold and 19 Silver and Bronze, each.
Total of 418 metals were awarded, out of which 245 were Bronze, 134 Silver and 38 Gold. There was no 'Grand Prix' this season. There were two new categories; 'Young' and 'Gender Sensitive.' Young saw 15 entries while Gender Sensitive saw 20 entries. Another differentiator in this year's Abby was the introduction of 'Best in the medium' award, which is the best among Gold, but is not a Grand Prix.
Contract was at No. 3 with 26 metals (a Gold, nine Silver and seven Bronze). DDB Mudra and Dentsu Creative Impact tied at No. 4 with 23 metals each. While DDB Mudra won 4 Gold, Dentsu Creative Impact got hold of only two.
Cheil India won as many as 18 metals, being the next one in queue, while Star India won a total of 17 metals.
Publicis Communications won the 'Best in Category' award for Ambuja Cement's 'A giant story' campaign. Sarva Integrated won the 'Best in South Asia Public Relation' award for Mawbina's 'Mawbina Vesak Lanterns' campaign.
