Jaipur is all set to host the 3rd edition of WPP Stream (un)conference for (un)conventional thinkers from February 17-20, 2016. Hosted by WPP Country Manager, India, Ranjan Kapur, and Chairman and Founder, Marico Innovation Foundation, Harsh Mariwala, the three-day event will challenge and debate the digital future of communications, creativity and business.
With over 300 leaders expected to join this calendar event, one can expect to see rising stars, from the technology, marketing and media industries to jam with likeminded attendees in a format that challenges a typical conference setup – no keynote speeches, no PowerPoint presentations, no boredom, a thinkfest.
Kapur said, “Stream is an unusual annual event that has the marketing community thinking about the changes affecting the way we will be interacting and communicating in the future. There is a strong focus on digital. Participants from diverse fields of marketing, communication, film, theatre and the arts come together and share thoughts on what the future holds. We refer to it as the 'un-conference' that encourages out of the box thinking.”
With no pre-set agenda, the schedule is up to the attendees to set. Each day there are discussions across myriad of topics that attendees can choose to participate in basis their interests and passion. From Ignite Talk for fast talkers to The Gadgethon and The Tech Lab for geeks, Stream Cinema for cinema lovers, Cooking Madness for those who believe cooking is therapeutic, The Pitch for the socially conscious, Extravaganza for the musical and gregarious souls, Health & Wellness for those young at heart, The Workshop for the craftsmen of the group, and the very entertaining Stream Band for the musicians and karaoke singers. Stream promises to be an event that will leave its attendees amazed, inspired, and armed with new thinking, new ideas and new friends.
“This is the coolest thinkfest where people from diverse fields come under one roof to discuss the future of digital and what it means for communications, creativity and business. A great platform which pushes people to think unconventional and out of box concepts and ideas,” said Tushar Vyas, Chief Strategy Officer, GroupM, South Asia.
Stream is a unique thought leadership initiative designed by WPP to bring together the industry leaders on a single interactive platform. It will see the coming together of CEOS from across the WPP network, WPP clients and partners from across the industry, including silicon valley start-ups, VCs, social entrepreneurs, publishers, academics and media companies.
