Zee TV is all set to launch its new weekend show 'Maharakshak Aryan' which is a gripping narrative of coming-of-age and a walk into the darker realms of fantasy where a hero will face his worst fear, rewrite destiny and emerge a winner. The show goes on air from November 1, every Saturday and Sunday, at 7 PM.
'Maharakshak Aryan' will showcase the triumph of good over evil. The good is played by debutant Aakarshan Singh and Triloki; the evil is played by Vikramjeet Virk. Triloki is trapped in the centre of the earth, under various layers, surrounded by molten lava. He wants to bounce back to power and rule the world but the only way he can do so is by reclaiming the 'Mani', which is the ultimate source of energy available in the world. So to procure 'Mani', Triloki will send his super villain Vishkanya, played by Reshmi Ghosh, Challa played by Mishal Raheja and Kumbha played by actor Deepak Bhatia amongst others to defeat the protector, Aryan.
Pradeep Hejmandi, Business Head, Zee TV, said, “Aryan is the first of our new superhero trilogy 'Maharakshak'. The series is a part of our weekend family unifier strategy. With shows like Neeli Chhatri Wale, Dil Se Naachein Indiawaale and now Maharakshak Aryan, we are fortifying our weekend line-up with content that engages every family member. Aryan adds a new flavor of fantasy to our line-up, attracting diverse sets of viewers. Our current fiction line-up is robust and in only poised to get stronger.”
On the marketing of the show, Hejmandi informed, “This show is totally different from other shows on our channel. We are doing a lot of things on television and digital media for promotion. Since it is a show with innovative visual effects, people will not understand the content only by seeing the posters and hoardings; so we are going to use audio-visual medium mostly for marketing. There won't be any on-ground promotion.”
Namit Sharma, Zee TV's Programming Head, commented, “Maharakshak Aryan is one of our most ambitious projects and aims to set benchmark in the fiction-thriller genre. The show will be very different from any of the content we currently have on air. The ability of a superhero series of transporting viewers into an exciting world of fantasy, slick, cutting-edge superhero series is remarkable. The show captures the boy's journey from an average teenager to discovering a hero within. Like any other boy of his age, his world revolves around his friends, dreams, his love interest, family and his career aspirations. Little does Aryan know that he will soon find himself combating evil. It is the story of discovery of true heroism within oneself.”
Omung Kumar has been roped in for production design, Hardik Gajja for graphics design and Majid Khan is the creative producer of the show.
