How many of you have noticed that the men in your lives have been acting strange and citing silly excuses to not have sex of late? Dear women, take a deep breath, as you are not alone! This is the season when one will notice feigning of injury on the football pitch and also faking of sex inside the bedroom!
A study commissioned by the condom giant, Durex, has revealed that honesty is the best policy in the bedroom and also on the football pitch. The survey was carried out on June 4, 2014 with 2,000 participants and is part of the #DontFAKEit campaign. Durex believes that great sex is like a great football and it is much better without faking. The survey was carried out by market researchers 72 Point.
But Durex says no more! This summer is about stimulation, not simulation; it should be a fake free zone! Nearly 70 per cent of people agreed that those who faked it on the football pitch ruined the game for everyone, with one in three even claiming it was worse to fake it on the pitch than in the bedroom.
The study revealed that the age-old excuse of headache has been given a red card by the football fans, and 40 per cent of men would rather watch soccer than have sex.
The study also revealed that the excuses used by both men and women to stay out of sex are the same. It is seen that men are more straight-forward and they would rather say 'I want to watch the football', which tops their top 10 excuses chart. On the other hand, for women, the excuse 'I'm too tired' takes the lead.
The other excuses which both of them use to stay away from love-making are: 'I've got a bad back', 'I have a headache', 'I've been working late', 'I've got work to do', 'I'm too drunk', 'Can we do it later?', 'I don't feel well' and 'I've got an early start in the morning.'
Nitish Kapoor, General Manager of RB India said, “There will always be some who are guilty of faking it, whether it's on the football pitch or in the bedroom and we think now is the time to stand up and declare 'Great sex is like great football; it's so much more enjoyable without the faking'. Excitement levels for football fans across the globe are reaching fever pitch and the passion they feel for the beautiful game is on a par with, if not greater than, that for their partner. But they need to ensure that once those 90 minutes are up, all attention is redirected solely to their loved one… otherwise there may be penalties!”
