publive-imageJust after a week of three broadcasters – Multi Screen Media, Times Television Network and NDTV – pulling out of TAM, two major broadcasters - TV18 and Viacom18 - have withdrawn their subscription from the television viewership rating agency. The news was confirmed by the highly placed sources. BestMediaInfo.com had reported on Monday that Network18 was already in discussion to unsubscribe the TAM data.

TV18 and Viacom18 are part of Network18 group that run 14 channels as TAM subscribers including leading Hindi GEC Colors, MTV, Vh1, Comedy Central, Nick, Nick Jr., Sonic, CNBC TV18, CNBC Awaaz, CNN-IBN, IBN7, IBN-Lokmat, Homeshop18, History TV18.

A few days ago, Sri Adhikari Brothers that runs three regional channels – Mastii, Dabang and Dhamaal - had also pulled out from TAM data. With this, the total number of channels pulling out of TAM has reached 31.

It is expected that more broadcasters are in the process of withdrawing from TAM in next few days.
