Goafest adds variety to speaker line-up

Swami Sukhabodhananda, Ogilvy China's Graham Fink and film director Abhishek Kapoor to speak at Goafest 2013

As the excitement for India's only advertising festival builds up, the Goafest 2013 Committee has confirmed the participation of three more renowned personalities as speakers. They are  Swami Sukhabodhananda, Founder Chairman of Prasanna Trust; Graham Fink, Chief Creative Officer - Ogilvy & Mather China, and Film Writer & Director Abhishek Kapoor.

MG Parameswaran Chairman of Goafest 2013 Knowledge Seminars, said, “We have lined up a great list of speakers this year and this third set is possibly a bit different from the other names announced. We have Graham coming from China, the hottest consumer market in the world today. We also have two speakers from very different domains, and you can't get any more different than this. Swamiji was the only speaker at AdAsia 2011 to get a standing ovation. I am sure he will bring a lot of new thought to the seminars. And who said ad awards cannot get a bit of stardust. Abhishek who delivered a superhit last month is sure to deliver a super hit talk in Goa!”

Swami Sukhabodhananda is the founder Chairman of Prasanna Trust. Swamiji is not only one of the most respected spiritual leaders of the country, but also nicknamed as 'Corporate Guru'. His expertise lies in synthesising ancient wisdom of East and modern vision of West appealing to both young and old from wide spectrum of society. Swamiji is the author of many bestsellers whose books have sold over a million copies in more than 100 titles in different languages. His books have made many discover a new way of living life. He makes one realise that if one door closes another door opens.

Graham Fink became the youngest ever President of D&AD (Design and Art Directors Association) in 1996.He was subsequently voted into D&AD's 'Art Direction book' representing the top 22 Art Directors of all time. His award winning photography has been used in many advertising campaigns including PlayStation's 'Blood' and 'Mental Wealth' poster campaigns. He also directed a short film (Z) for the Millennium, commissioned by David Puttnam which was shortlisted at BAFTA. In 2001 he created thefinktank, a conceptual production company and ideas forum. In 2005 he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate at Bucks New University.

Abhishek Kapoor has three feature films to his credit. Each one of these bears his unique stamp of stylised yet sensitive narratives centered on the human experience, set against a backdrop of richly-textured scenes, which engage the viewer with their skillful touches.
