publive-imageFever 104 FM Delhi is back with another reality story on the airwaves. From the umbrella of 'Fever Ka Asar' Fever presents one more real life story which is based on a HIV positive person, Ravi, who is a victim of discrimination because he is suffering from the disease.

The story started when on Aids day Shahrukh Khan was chatting with RJ Khurafati Nitin on how people have started accepting HIV positive patients and are much warmer to them. Just then a listener Ravi, an HIV positive patient, called Nitin and shared his experience of how he still is a victim of discrimination. Just because he is HIV positive he is struggling to find himself a rented accommodation in Delhi. Nitin wanted to check this himself and made Ravi call a few landlords, astonishingly all of them denied him a house and were rude enough to say 'Aise bandhe ko nahi rakh paayenge, Tension nahi paalna hai, etc.  RJ Nitin then decided to take this up and urged people in Delhi to support him.

Commenting on the initiative Harshad Jain, Business Head, Radio and Entertainment, HT Media says, “Radio is a mass medium and we are glad to use the power of this medium to pick up instances that can change people's life. People suffering with HIV positive are as human as any of us, then why should they be treated differently. We are the No.1 station in the city and believe in supporting initiatives where the society needs a change in outlook”.

Fever 104 FM has received over 5000 sms's and calls from Delhi supporting this initiative. The story has also been supported by film stars and Indian cricketers. Singer Kailash Kher offered a house to Ravi, Shaan, Virat Kohli, Gautam Gambhir, Olympian Vijender Singh are some of the celebrities who extended their support to Ravi. He now has a job, people are offering him a house to stay on rent and he also has many friends.
