Leo Burnett team wins AAAI-Cannes Young Lions Creative Competition

Announcing the result of AAAI-Cannes Young Lions Creative Competition 2012, Vinod Nair, convener of the competition, said, “The Times Group and AAAI are giving a rare opportunity to young creatives in India to participate in Cannes Lions and compete with the very best young talent in the world.”

In all 226 entries on the theme “Discourage people from using cell phones while driving” were received. Josy Paul, Chairman & National Creative Director, BBDO India, and Sonal Dabral, Chairman & Chief Creative Officer, DDB Mudra Group, were the jury members in the two-phase judging process.

The Leo Burnett team which AAAI has selected through this competition will be the official Indian team to take part in the Young Lions Creative Competition 2012 at Cannes Lions. The winning team will be flying to the Cannes Advertising Festival in June to participate in the prestigious International Young Lions Creative Competition. The Times group, the official Cannes representative in India, will bear all the expenses of the wining team's trip to Cannes.
