publive-imageOnline travel portal Yatra.com is on the lookout for a media agency, according to informed sources. The size of the account is pegged at around Rs 15-20 crore. The scope of work for the new media agency will involve media planning, buying and execution. The incumbent media agency is Motivator, which is part of GroupM.

It is to be noted that Motivator was selected as the media AOR for Yatra.com in July 2009 after a two-month-long in-depth multi-agency selection process.

In the past, OMS (Optimum Media Solutions), the specialist media independent from Mudra Group, has handled the account of Yatra.com.

The news comes close on the heels of McCann Erickson winning the creative business of the company. Prior to McCann Erickson, TBWA/India was the creative agency for the company. It had re-engineered the brand from a domestic ticketing player to a full-fledged online travel company. With McCann on board, the brand aims at further strengthening its position in the market.

For the record, according to a report by comScore, Yatra.com witnessed 3.1 million unique visitors with a growth of 72 per cent YoY in March 2011.
