There are some significant changes at the top in Mudra Group. KB Vinod, Creative Head, Mudra West, has bid adieu to the group. His last working day in the agency was a few days back. In another development, there has been a change in the role of Rajeev Raja, National Creative Director at DDB Mudra. Henceforth, he will be working as a Consultant with Mudra Group to enable him to pursue his passion for music.
Bobby Pawar, Chief Creative Officer, Mudra Group, has confirmed both the developments to BestMediaInfo.com. He said, “Yes, these changes have happened in the agency. Vinod is a very dear friend and he left the agency few days back. Although I am not aware of his next destination, he wants to take a brief break as of now. As for Raja, he wants to focus more on music and that is why this arrangement has been made. He makes fantastic music and I love his music a lot.”
Vinod, who joined Mudra in 2009, was reporting to Pawar. Prior to that, he was Executive Creative Director at Leo Burnett for almost six years, working on brands such as Thums Up and Bajaj.
Vinod started his career at Lowe Lintas in June 1994 and stayed for almost seven years. He then moved to Publicis Ambience as Creative Director in January 2001 and was with the agency till August 2003.
During his stint at Mudra, he has worked on campaigns like 'May I Help' for National Association for the Blind (NAB), Electrolux and Korvo.
As for Raja, he had expressed a desire to the management that he was keen to devote more time to his passion – music. As a Consultant, he will be visiting the Mudra office two to three days in a week.
In a written response to BestMediaInfo.com, Raja said: “As you know, over the years music has been very close to my heart. And I have been thinking of pursuing my passion in music and the branding space, both as an artiste and as a communication specialist.”
Raja is a major contributor to the pathbreaking Volkswagen campaign by Mudra, besides handling accounts like Gulf Oil, Neutrogena, Reliance Mutual Funds and Clean & Clear. In a career spanning more than two decades, he has worked on a wide range of brands such as Peter England, BPL, IBM, Virgin Mobile, TOI, Tata Salt, Nokia, Hamam, Tata AIG, Radio City and ICICI Credit Cards.
Raja is considered one of India's finest jazz and fusion flautists and has scored music for the Bollywood film 'Bas Yun Hi'.
