BIG Cinemas gets new CEO as Ashok Ganapathy
He will head the exhibition chain's global business and report in to Reliance MediaWorks CEO Anil Arjun.

Reliance ADA Group-owned BIG Cinemas has appointed Ashok Ganapathy as the Chief Executive Officer of the leading cinema chain.
Ganapathy will head the exhibition chain's global business and will be responsible for the organisation's strategy and growth through a customer centric retail approach across cinemas. Ashok would report in to Reliance MediaWorks CEO Anil Arjun.
Prior to joining BIG Cinemas, a division of Reliance MediaWorks, Ganapathy was associated with Spencer's Retail and Unilever Group in India and Vietnam. He is an alumnus of IIT Madras and IIM Ahmedabad.
On this appointment Anil Arjun said, "We are blending a retail centric approach with cinema to bring an innovative evolution to movie going experience and Ashok's experience and deep knowledge in retail and consumer operations would bring in a unique perspective on delivering strategic solutions to our consumers."
BIG Cinemas has over 550 screens spread across India, the United States, Malaysia, Nepal and the Netherlands.
