The Kirana community, Kirana Club, has released a list of popular FMCG brands among the country’s Kirana owners in 2023.
The list indicates the popularity of personal care products including soaps, detergents, shampoo and toothpaste among the local retailers of India, with Dettol’s original Soap being the talk of the town. Snacks and biscuits are another popular category among Indian households, which is also represented in the list with Parle G, Maggi, Britannia and Patanjali leading this segment.
Among daily grocery items, Fortune Refined Soyabean Oil and Tata Iodised Salt are the most spoken about at Indian Kirana stores. Cadbury celebrations chocolate and Parle Kismi Toffee remained the most relevant and popular in the chocolate category.
