Market research, consumer insights and consulting veteran Hemant Mehta has left for his heavenly abode.
For the most part of his career, amounting to over three decades, Mehta was associated with data, insights and consulting company, Kantar, across various roles leading up to Senior Vice-President, Managing Director- Media and Digital, and Managing Director.
He joined Kantar in 1989 and before parting ways with the company in March 2021, he was serving the role of Managing Director, Insights Division, India and Chief Strategy Officer, South Asia.
He was also known for leading the effort to create the tool for measuring audience size and viewing patterns among TV and cable audiences- People’s Meter.
As a result, for the past two years, he has been working as an Independent Director to company boards and senior management owing to his keen focus on tracking evolving consumer behaviour and media consumption habits and his experience of successfully employing his observations to advise leading global and local brands and companies on their future growth strategies along with bringing an an "outside-in" perspective.
