The Indian Premier League’s (IPL) cumulative reach for live broadcast on television has reached 409 million in the first 29 matches, which is 30% higher than last year, according to BARC data.
Star Sports has already achieved a 10% higher cum reach in the mid of the tournament than the last full season's reach.
The 16th season of IPL has recorded the highest-ever reach in Hindi Speaking Markets (HSM).
While the reach is highest in Gujarat, Maharashtra, UP, Rajasthan, and MP markets, the tournament has recorded the second-highest-ever reach in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh (PHCHP), and Karnataka markets.
The viewers consumed a total of 166 billion minutes during the first 29 matches. This figure is the second-highest-ever consumption, excluding the COVID-19 years.
The league has also seen a 24% growth in TVR over the last year, even after three weeks.
The RCB versus CSK match registered the second-highest rating at 7.2 TVR. The match also recorded the second-highest peak concurrency of the season at 52 million.
Moreover, the league has also broken records in terms of HD reach, recording the highest-ever reach of 66.4 million, which is three times higher than the figure recorded last year.
