GEC Watch: Zee TV jumps to No. 2 in U+R

Star Bharat slips to No. 3 in U+R markets. Star Plus and Zee Anmol retain top positions in Urban and Rural markets, respectively. KBC retains No. 1 position in Urban markets

In Week 37 of 2017 (September 9-15), Zee TV has replaced Star Bharat at No. 2 position in U+R markets. According to the latest data released by BARC India, Star Plus and Zee Anmol retained top positions in Urban and Rural markets, respectively.

Kaun Banega Crorepati continued to be No. 1 show in the Urban market while it entered the top-5 shows list at No. 3 in U+R markets.

Top channels in U+R markets

As per select BARC India data for Week 37 (September 9-15) of 2017 for HSM (U+R): NCCS All: 2+ Individuals, Zee Anmol remained on the top position in the combined markets despite sharp decline in its viewership. The channel recorded gross viewership of 672.253 million (last week 819.438 million) Impressions. Zee TV jumped to No. 3 position with 632.973 million (last week 625.640 million) Impressions. Star Bharat slipped to No. 3 spot with 607.820 million (last week 669.588 million) Impressions. Star Plus remained at No. 4 with 587.286 million (last week 581.618 million) Impressions.
