Partho Banerjee replaces Shashank Srivastava at Maruti Suzuki

Banerjee is currently serving as Head of Service. Srivastava is transferred to the Executive Committee member position

Maruti Suzuki India has elevated Partho Banerjee as the new head of marketing and sales function with effect from April 1, 2024.

Banerjee has replaced Shashank Srivastava who is "transferred from the position of Head Marketing & Sales to Member Executive Committee", the auto major said in a regulatory filing.

Banerjee is currently serving as Head of Service.

Banerjee has been with MSIL for the past 34 years where he began his career. He has worked across various verticals in MSIL including Sales, Marketing and Production Engineering. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Technology from IIT, Kanpur. 

Srivastava started his career with Maruti Suzuki in 2008 as an executive in the corporate planning strategy team. He is currently serving as the automotive giant's Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales.

Ram Suresh Akella has been named as the Head of Service. Akella is presently the Executive Officer in the Marketing vertical. He has been with MSIL for over 31 years where he began his career. He has worked in various areas such as Sales and Network Head at Arena channel, Commercial Business head of South region. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Andhra University and an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies, DU.

The management rejig was approved by the Maruti Suzuki India board in its meeting held on Wednesday.
