In the thriving landscape of media business, Madison has experienced a fruitful 2023 as Vishal Chinchankar, the CEO of Madison Digital and Madison Media Alpha, highlighted that the company has not only successfully onboarded 12 new clients in their media business but has also witnessed remarkable growth in their creative division, Madison Loop.

The creative arm has welcomed over 10 new clients, achieving a 100% client retention rate throughout the year, he added.

In an exclusive conversation with BestMediaInfo, Chinchankar emphasised that one significant hurdle the agency faced, which they have effectively mitigated, pertained to their attrition rate. However, it remains noteworthy that high attrition rates continue to be a prevalent issue across the industry.

While shedding light on Madison’s growth last year, Chinchankar said, “The year 2023 has been a good year for Madison. In our media business, we have managed to add 12 new clients, while our creative arm Madison Loop not only welcomed over 10 new clients but also achieved an impressive 100% client retention rate. Some of the new businesses are, Caltex Lubricants, Oberoi Realty, Godrej Properties, Amara Raja, TATA Ready Build, Haisha Paints and Accuvision.”

“Additionally, we were excited to onboard the World’s pre-eminent Digital guru – Rob Norman – into the Madison family as a Consultant,” he added.

Chinchankar, while explaining major growth drivers behind the agency’s success last year, said that they have built a truly integrated agency with end-to-end marketing solutions, not just core media offerings but also verticals like creative, influencer marketing, social media, e-commerce, analytics, website and app developments, tech development, programmatic and more.

“This has been working to our advantage as the biggest growth driver. One of our major challenges, which we have managed to control, is the attrition rate. It's only getting better, but that one is a larger industry issue,” he added.

On being asked, how is the Madison team bracing itself for the world to go cookie-less next year, Chinchankar said, “We are invested in Privacy Sandbox technologies and testing ad manager tools before deprecating third-party cookies in Chrome. With a strong 10-member tech team with experts in GA4, we are working closely with our clients on building their 1P (1st party) data.”

“Our AI/ML offering on personalised customer experiences, predictive analytics and enhanced decision-making processes have been existing for quite some time, we are moving towards building customised AI products for our clients,” he added.

While explaining the objectives set aside for 2024 along with business strategy and scope for growth, Chinchankar said, “In my mind, clearly client delight is what thrives us which will always be on priority. We will keep investing in building strong planning products, automation tools, advanced AI/ML, immersive tech solutions and above all pitching and winning new business.”
