Clio Awards 2023: McCann India and FCB Group India bring home Grand Clio

Altogether Indian agencies bagged two Grand Clio awards, three Gold, 10 Bronze and seven Silver awards

The Clio Awards 2023 has announced the names of the winning agencies at an award ceremony held on April 25 in New York.

McCann Worldgroup India and FCB Group India have brought home Grand Clio awards.

Altogether Indian agencies bagged two Grand Clio awards, three Gold, 10 Bronze and seven Silver awards.

The Grand Clio was awarded to McCann’s campaign titled Shagun Ka Lifafa, this year in the Creative Commerce medium (Cultural Experience category Product/Service) and FCB Group India’s ‘Chatpat’ campaign in Media (Use of talent and influencers).

Other than this McCann also won one Gold and one Bronze for the same campaign. Even FCB Group India won two Silvers and one Bronze for the same campaign. FCB Group India also won another Silver for ‘Unbox Me’ campaign created for UNAIDS.

Each judging session concludes with a discussion around where the jury has the option of awarding the highest program honour, the Grand Clio Award, to one exceptional piece of work in a medium/entry type (ie film public service, B2B or product/service) from the chosen Gold statue winners.

Leo Burnett India brought home 11 awards. Its campaign ‘Missing Chapter’ created for P&G Whisper won two Golds, two Silvers and one Bronze. The agency’s work ‘Airtel 175 Replayed’ for Airtel won one Silver and two Bronze at Clio Awards 2023.

Leo Burnett also won a Silver for Burger King’s ‘The great celebrity hack’ campaign and a Bronze each for Oreo India’s #BringBack2011 and Spotify - Cancel Noise campaigns.

Ogilvy India won two Bronze for its campaign ‘Shop for the Shopless’ created for Cadbury Celebrations.

Studio Eeksaurus also bagged a Bronze for JSW Steel’s ‘All around us’ campaign.
