In Week 49 of BARC India data, which consists of the rolling average of weeks 46-49, Aaj Tak was the most-watched news channel.
These four weeks were news-heavy weeks with a rescue operation in the Silkyara Tunnel in Uttarakhand and Assembly elections in five states, including vote counting on December 3.
The channel topped the chart with a relative share of 13%, rising from No. 4 in the previous week.
Aaj Tak was followed by TV9 Bharatvarsh with a 12.9% relative share in the latest data, a sharp fall from 16.5% in Week 45.
News18 India was at No. 3 grabbing a relative share of 12.9%.
India TV at No. 4 held a 12.3% relative share.
Republic Bharat witnessed a 0.5% jump in the relative share but remained at fifth position with an 11.7% share.
Times Now Navbharat held the No. 6 position with a relative share of 7.7%.
ABP News also reported an increase in its relative share by 0.4%. The channel was at No. 7 in the latest week with a relative share of 7.1%.
News Nation sat at No. 8 position with a relative share of 6.2%.
Zee News, which is gaining ground over the last few weeks, was at ninth position with a relative share of 5.6%.
Good News Today was at No. 10 with a relative share of 4.8%
News24 garnered a relative share of 3% as the channel remained at No. 11.
DD News and Zee Bharat were at No. 12 and 13 with a relative share of 1.6% and 1.4%, respectively.
