Samsung Electronics has announced that FIFA+ is the latest global addition to Samsung TV Plus as part of the continued growth of the brand’s free-access sports offering for Samsung customers.

Globally, FIFA+ will now be available on five new connected TV apps: Samsung TV, LG, VIDAA, Amazon Fire, and Android TV, and five new FAST channel platforms: Samsung TV Plus, LG Channels, VIDAA Channels, The Roku Channel and Rakuten TV.

The FIFA+ FAST channel on Samsung TV Plus will feature the football giant’s original documentaries, archive footage, and highlights from previous Men’s and Women’s games, building upon the existing sports content on Samsung TV Plus.

Samsung said, “The announcement comes during the highly anticipated FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ in Australia and New Zealand and will feature a host of content, including highlights, player stories and more - both long and short form.”

Samsung TV Plus, the free ad-supported streaming TV service is available on Samsung Smart TVs in India and will give its users access to FIFA+ without the need for an antenna or additional application – just an internet connection.

Samsung further said, “This new collaboration between Samsung TV Plus and FIFA+ demonstrates the growth of FAST channels and the evolving streaming landscape, as further investment continues to pour into highly-demanded sports content within a free ad-supported TV setting.”

Kunal Mehta, Head of Partnerships, Samsung TV Plus commented, “The addition of the FIFA+ channel to our ever-expanding portfolio of sports on Samsung TV Plus demonstrates Samsung’s commitment to providing incredible value and unrivalled access, not just to our audiences, but also to our advertisers - who can reach these highly sought-after and engaged sporting audiences in a streaming setting.”

"We are excited to bring FIFA+ to fans through these connected TV apps and FAST channel platforms, extending our reach and making football more accessible to a wider audience," said Charlotte Burr, FIFA’s Director of Strategy, Digital and FIFA+.
